AcuMobile FAQ

What does the STAT setting offer?

The setting is either on or off and aligns to a 2-hour TAT; all other files fall under the regular, contractual TAT times.

Will there be an iPad® application, if yes, when?

There will be an iPad application; however, dates have not been established.

When reviewing a report on the iPhone®, why does the format not appear correct?

Due to the limited screen space on an iPhone, normal word-wrapping or breaks may not be obvious. When reviewed through eTranscribe, your EHR, or printed the report will be properly formatted.

Are there issues with storing large files on the device?

iPhones have large storage capacities; however, high volume dictators or lengthy dictations can quickly fill the space. Archive settings should be configured to limit the amount of audio files stored on the device.

Is there a maximum dictation length for files recorded on an iPhone?

There is not at this time, but maximum length settings will be implemented in a future release.

What happens if a large file is sending and is interrupted? Will the file be received?

The file will continue to resend until it is successfully received.

When a date is selected on the reports screen, what date is this? Is this the dictation date or transcribed date?

This is the date of dictation.

What will happen when I am reviewing a report and I try to play the audio recorded on a device other than my iPhone?

The report reviewing feature on the iPhone does not have audio playback capability regardless of the dictation source.

Within the SENT folder, when will data/files be purged from the device?

Data in the sent folder will be purged based on the archive settings which are purge on send, after one week, or after two weeks.

How does the application manage voice memos that can be generated on an iPhone?

Voice memos and dictations done in the application are completely separate. Voice files done within the AcuMobile application will never sync with iTunes.
