AcuSpeech FAQ
Is AcuSpeech a web-based application?
No. The installation link for AcuSpeech is found on the eTranscribe website, but once installed it is a local installation. This will require the application to be installed separately on each computer the client will choose to dictate from.
What version of Dragon is being used?
Dragon Naturally Speaking Medical 10.1 is required for AcuSpeech.
How do Dragon and AcuSpeech interact?
The Dragon software offers a software development kit (SDK) that allows third party applications access to all of the features of Dragon. Acusis uses the SDK to access all of the recording and training features of the application for integration into the AcuSpeech interface.
Can I use the iPhone as one of the devices (besides the Olympus devices) with AcuSpeech?
Not at this time. AcuSpeech allows you to dictate one patient at a time through a microphone or you can add dictations in bulk through a digital handheld or from files that reside on a local or network drive.
Are there any considerations to use any other voice engines?
AcuSpeech is a direct integration with Dragon 10.1 Medical; no other voice engines can be used.
