What version of Microsoft Office Word should I have?
Microsoft Office Word 2000 or any newer version.
What kind of connectivity should I have for the internet?
Cable or DSL. We cannot support satellite users.
What kind of foot pedal will I need?
A USB foot pedal will be required, but not provided by Acusis.
Do you supply a word expander?
Yes, upon hire Acusis will supply you with AsYouType free of charge. This is optional. AutoCorrect in Word also works well with our platform.
Do you hire students?
No, we do not at this time. Acusis requires at least 3 years of experience for all of our accounts.
Do you have Part Time positions available?
No, Acusis hires Full Time employee status positions.
Does Acusis offer feedback?
Absolutely. We have feedback for every job sent through editing. We also provide auditing services for our customers to ensure the 98% company standard.
Does Acusis supply my computer if I am hired?
No, we do not. You must supply your own PC.
Is there technological support available to me once I am hired?
Yes, Acusis has an Advanced Support team available 24/7/365.
Do you have Quality positions (QC/QA) available?
It’s not Acusis’ practice to hire QA positions from outside of the organization. Acusis prefers to promote internally. We have an advancement policy in place and an MT may ask to be considered for this position. Previous experience as a qualified hybrid editor (MT/editor) is a plus when applying for an MT position!
I am a court reporter/secretary/legal assistant/coding specialist/nurse, could I apply to be a medical transcriptionist?
No, Acusis requires at least 3 years of experience working in the MT field.
Do you have Radiology positions?
Currently no, however this may become an option in the future, so we encourage you to apply.
Does Acusis provide benefits?
Yes, Acusis provides a competitive benefits package. Full Time employees have the option to select health, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer 401K, FSA STD, and LTD benefits. Paid time off accrual starts on day 1 and may be used upon completion of the 90 day introductory period.
