Acusis is pleased to introduce AcuSpeech.

AcuSpeech is a front-end speech recognition solution that expands on Dragon Naturally Speaking Medical, which gives clinicians flexible options for dictating, editing, and reporting. Dictated reports can be captured and displayed by speaking directly into the computer or by using a preferred digital device. Clinicians can decide whether to edit the reports themselves or send the reports to Acusis for editing. The AcuSpeech application is fully integrated into the eTranscribe 3.0 platform, creating a seamless extension of workflow tools for clinicians.

Features

Integration with Dragon Naturally Speaking Medical

AcuSpeech quickly and easily integrates with Dragon Naturally Speaking Medical by utilizing existing profiles and providing access to in-application features such as new user creation, general training, word training, command creation and modification, and much more.

Dictation

AcuSpeech gives you the flexibility to dictate the way you want. You can attach a microphone to the computer for the standard dictation capture method or you can open files saved to your local system, network drive, or portable dictation device.

Editing Options

Files transcribed by AcuSpeech can be self-edited or sent to Acusis to be edited. You have the option to edit the files yourself and then send the files to eTranscribe for additional processing such as electronic signature or document delivery. If you have limited time, you can send the completed voice recognized text to Acusis for professional editing.

Automated Transcription

AcuSpeech runs in a secure locked state which allows it to continuously monitor for dictations from secondary sources such as network drives or handheld devices. You have the option to select the automated transcription setting to automatically transcribe files when new dictations are found. Once the file is transcribed, you can then select to have the file automatically sent to eTranscribe for processing or sent to Acusis for editing.

Custom Settings

AcuSpeech has a number of settings that allows you to configure the application the way you want. The settings can be customized to meet your security requirements at your facility. Some settings include default values, audio backup, automated database cleanup, and advanced logging.

Security

At Acusis, we ensure your data and information is secure. All communication to and from the computer is secured with 256 bit encryption when AcuSpeech is running. All files backed up by AcuSpeech are also encrypted and cannot be opened by any other program.

AcuSpeech follows strict authentication protocols for passwords including strength rules, automatic expiration after 30 days, and account locking after repeated authentication failures. The application will also automatically lock after 30 minutes if there is no activity. In addition, files on the application will be removed automatically based on your preferences.
